Dark Horse Recording Studios is located in Franklin, Tennessee, originally opened in 1993 and expanded in 2009. Its early client base consisted of Neil Diamond, Faith Hill, and Martina McBride; it was designed and built by author, speaker, and recording artist Robin Crow. In July 2004, the Lodge studio was featured on the cover of ''Mix Magazine'' reporting that "The largest of the four studios, the Lodge’s cathedral-like control room accommodates up to six musicians who can theoretically gather around the Trident and Martin Sound ACX 24-channel side car. The Lodge also features an 18x20-foot drum room and a third room with a second Yamaha C7 and a Hammond B3 organ." ==References== *Johnson, Heather (July 1, 2004) (Darkhorse Recording Becomes Destination Music Studio in Nashville ).
